Introduction

I'm a wife and mother to five great kids. I have always been interested in photography since I was a kid but only had a point and shot camera because the SLR cameras intimidated me. I got an digital SLR last year and can't stop taking photos!

What camera(s) and equipment (i.e. lenses) do you use?

Canon Rebel XS with 18-55 mm and 75-300 mm lenses.

What photo manipulation program(s) do you use? (i.e. Adobe Lightroom; Photoshop CS5 for PC or Mac)

Yes, I'm one of "those Picnik" users. Picnik is shutting down in April, so I hope there may be some Photoshop workshops coming soon!! I'm gonna need it.

Is photography a hobby or profession?

Hobby as of now, would love to start making some money day soon doing what I love. I want to learn as much as I can and perfect my shots before I jump in head first and taking priceless memory shots for families.

What types of photography do you enjoy (i.e. nature; artistic; portraits; landscapes; macro; etc...)

I really love all types of photography of beautiful things. I am focusing on outdoor portraits. I love taking pictures of nature as well.

Do you have a favorite place/event that you like taking pictures of? If yes, feel free to explain.

Pretty much anywhere my kids are. I love taking pictures of them and they love to be photographed, so it's easy.
